Opening
NOTE: If you are an opener, test your card early in the semester to make sure you have access to the lab.
- Enter code to disarm alarm
- Get the key from the windowsill on the left side of the windows. The lock-box on the right is for the lab.
- Unlock the lab and turn on the lights
- Make sure large scanner is on
- Make sure all computers and screens are on and at login screen, not logged in
- Make sure all printers are on and ready to print
- Fill the LaserJets' paper trays
- Throw away any trash in the lab and bring any lost property to the lost-and-found behind the front desk
Closing
- 30 minutes before closing, notify any students working in the lab that they must submit any prints 15 minutes before closing time
- 15 minutes before closing, notify any students working in the lab that the lab will soon close
- Push all chairs in, log out of any computers that are still logged in and clean white boards
- Throw away any trash in the lab and bring any lost property to the lost-and-found behind the front desk
- Turn off the lights in the lab
- Log out of front desk computers and any other computers in the printing area
- Log out of the TigerCash register
- Lock the lab with the key from the lock-box on the windowsill
- Turn off the lights in the printing area
- Arm the alarm by pressing Command + 1 and make sure the door is completely closed and cannot be opened via the doorknob
